Ahead of the 2024/25 season, recruitment director Tom Hanley is on the look-out for promising new players to add to our talented squad.
After 51 years of football in the Spanish capital, Fútbol Club Británico are gearing up for another season in Madrid's federated leagues.
We are an English-speaking football team but welcome players from all over the world, united by a love of football and our shared values. We strive to compete at the highest level possible, while also providing a warm environment in which players can improve themselves among friends.
Preparations are already underway for the 2023/24 season, in which we will be competing in the RFFM's Tercera Regional division. We are looking to bring in talented and hungry new players to bolster our squad for the campaign ahead.
We hope to be in contention for the promotional places this season and our dedicated club committee are already working hard. Recruitment director Tom Hanley is on the look-out for new players to add to the club.
"Relegation is always disappointing but in actual fact, I am feeling really optimistic about the coming season. We strengthened the squad throughout the season and the core of last year's squad who are remaining will be the basis of a very competitive side in Tercera.
"We were holding our own with some of the top sides in Segunda, so we know we have the capability to be one of the ones to watch in our group."
Looking ahead to next season the club is looking to build a squad capable of competing at the top of the league and has already brought in new players.
"We have a lot of interest in joining the club ahead of the new season so the squad will be a good mix of fresh blood and experience plus, Jake and the rest of the senior guys around the club did an amazing job of bringing back the positive vibes both on and off the pitch.
"We have multiple ideas on how to drive the club forward and make the Britanicos experience something that all our former players will look back on with a big smile, so there is definite reason for optimism ahead of the new season!"
