Playing in Madrid

When it comes to football culture, there are few cities in the world that can compete with the Spanish capital. Two of the world's biggest clubs Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid plus several other top-level professional clubs (Rayo Vallecano, Getafe, Léganes, Alcorcón) are based here.

Two of the world's greatest football stadiums are located here in Madrid (Santiago Bernabeu and Wanda Metropolitano) so there are frequently huge football matches on our doorstep, especially when visitng fans come to watch their teams in the final stages of the Champions League. In world football, there is no better place than Madrid to be.

Fútbol Club Británico is an English-speaking team based in Madrid with players from all around the world. We are a primarily expat football team as the core of the squad typically hails from the UK and many have played at a semi-professional level or high standard of university football in England, Ireland, USA, Spain etc.

The club competes in Madrid's federated leagues, meaning that we can offer competitive football in the Spanish football pyramid. The team is in Tercera Regional for the 2023/24 season; just seven steps from La Liga.

Aside from the footballing opportunity, Madrid is an amazing life experience and one which looks great on any graduate CV.

If you are looking to enrich your employment history, learn a new language, or simply experience something new, Madrid could be the place for you.
